About Shammah
Shammah Innovative Solutions is a Digital company established by Shamilah Damons in 2015. It is an EME Level1 and 100% Black Women Owned company based in Johannesburg. Prior to, and after the inception of Shammah, Shamilah worked for over 15 years as a Consultant in various industries namely: SOE’s, Local Government, Telecommunication and Banking Services. During Shamilah consulting tenures, while consulting on different data projects, she realised all companies, large or small have similar data and business process problems. Data is currently considered a key asset in every business. However, not all companies are geared to treat it as such, some data are still not governed and treated in silos. Shammah aspires to invest in the skills and knowledge of the youth, especially black women. Shammah wants to harness their passion and energy to assist their customers on how to navigate through the challenges of Digital transformation on the journey of implementing a fully data driven company.

As the founder and CEO of Shammah Innovative Solutions, Shamilah has a resolute approach to build a successful business while maintaining an avid interest in the fast-growing industry of Data Management, Analytics and & Digital Transformation and believes it is important to apply these to remain current. She believes, “There is no permission slip to take power, as women we need to take our power and be a business leader in the Digital Transformation space”.
Shamilah is an Alumni of Lioness of Africa, the pride of Africa’s women entrepreneurs and the Cherie Blair Mentoring Women in Business Program.
As founder and the vision bearer of Shammah who holds the qualifications, skills and a wealth of experience built over 15 years, Shamilah is still actively involved on project executions to establish a technically sound footprint for Shammah in the ICT industry. Her expertise span across Data Quality, Data Integration, Business Intelligence, Advance Analytics & Reporting and Digitisation.
She holds a bachelor’s degree in information technology from University of Free State, is a certified developer – SAS institute, and is skilled in other programming techniques.
